The County of Butler WILL NOT be responsible for injuries to dogs, their owners/handlers or others using the park. Prevent problems by supervising your dog at all times.
1. Dogs must be in view of & within voice control of their owner/handler at all times. Owner/handler must remain inside the fenced area with their dog(s) and must remove aggressive dogs immediately.
2. All dogs are required to wear a collar with a valid license and tags and must have current rabies and other vaccines as required by law.
3. Pinch, choker, pronged or spike collars are not permitted – owners/handlers must remove these before entering the dog park.
4. For the protection of children and dogs, children under the age of 14 are not permitted inside the dog park.
5. Children ages 14-17 must be accompanied and supervised by an adult. Dogs must be supervised by persons of at least 16 years of age.
6. Dogs must be off leash when inside the fenced area.
7. All dogs must be leashed when preparing to leave and once outside the dog park. You must have a 6’ leash available to you inside the dog park at all times.
8. Dogs must be kept in the appropriate section of the dog park; small dog (under 25 pounds) & large dog (over 25 pounds).
9. Aggressive dogs, female dogs in heat, puppies under (4) months old, sick dogs, dog toys & incessant barking is prohibited.
10. 2 dogs maximum per owner/handler allowed in the dog park.
11. Dog owners/handlers are required to clean up after their dog(s). All waste must be bagged and disposed of properly in the marked receptacles.
12. No smoking, alcohol, glass containers or food are permitted in the dog park.
13. No people without dogs, no dogs without people are permitted in the dog park.
14. Dogs must not be left unattended. Abandoning animals is prohibited by law.
15. All other County of Butler general park rules/ordinance applies.
16. Dog owners/handlers are responsible to ensure their dog(s) do not dig holes or cause damage to park property.
17. All or any rules are subject to change without notice as deemed necessary for the safety and well-being of both humans and dogs.
18. The park may not be utilized for any private use or gain which includes, but is not limited to, instruction/training activities or events of any type without the written approval from the County of Butler.
19. Dogs & their owner/handler who violate the rules are subject to removal from park.
20. There will be regular maintenance of the grass & landscaping by the County. This includes but is not limited to mowing, grounds rehab & structural repair/replacement. During those times, the dog park will be closed. We will make an effort to give advance notice when possible.
21. To report an emergency call 911. For non-emergencies, call 724-284-5383 and state your name, location and reason for the call. Any serious dog bite should be reported promptly to the police.

Failure to comply with the above rules will result in removal and/or fines up to $300.00.
